"Getting
to the route of the problem is my goal in providing long-term
pain management and relief."
Massage has been used for centuries across the world. It affects
an individual's ability to tolerate pain, decreases stress, and
boosts the immune system. Massage also increases
the speed of the healing process, accelerates
the rate of recovery from serious illness, decreases blood pressure,
and minimizes the heart rate.
Massage is a system of therapeutic manipulations of the body's
soft tissue—muscle, tendons, ligaments, and fascia—for
the purpose of enhancing circulation to restore or maintain an
overall well being. Increased circulation aids in the delivery
of oxygen and nutreints to all cells and cleanses the tissues
of cellular metabolic waste or toxins.
Massage relaxes tense or spasmodic
muscles, increases joint range of motion, soothes the nervous
system, increases respiration, and reduces swelling from the
accumulation of fluid in the extremities.
