Testimonials:
Brandon, 23
"When I was 19, I worked for a company that
didn't provide ergonomic equipment. My lower back, shoulders,
legs, and neck took a nasty toll from sitting in a broken
chair at too high of a desk. The workaholic
that I was, I never took breaks from the computer throughout
the day.
It progressively got worse during my sophomore year of college.
Every morning, I woke up with sharp neck and shoulder pains,
followed by an achy lower back, and sciatic pain,
all of which lasted for the remainder of the day.
During
the night, my arms would frequently go numb and constantly
wake me up from my sleep; not very fun if you have class
the next morning.
"Sitting through class, driving, playing
sports, and even standing became a rather unbearable experience."
It got to the point where I couldn't sit for longer than
20 minutes without experiencing pain and discomfort. Sitting
through class, driving, playing sports, and even
standing became a a rather unbearable experience.
When I told
my parents about my problem, they suggested I come home
to see a neurologist. I could barely tolerate the car ride
home.
The neurologist ordered an MRI scan, which, by the
way, came back negative. A long and painful
process of being poked and prodded with needles and zapped
by an electronic devices followed. Yet, they still couldn't
find anything wrong. I was prescribed inflammatory
pills, which made me sick.
Hearing positive things about chiropractic,
my mom urged
me to give it a try as a last resort. After a few phone calls,
I ended up in Dr. Pat's office.
"Ruling out arthritis, a slipped disk, and nerve damage
as possible causes for my aches and pains, he suggested that
my problem lied within my muscle structure."
Right upon meeting him, he took one look at me and in a
matter of 5 minutes he told me exactly what was wrong.
Ruling out arthritis, a slipped disk, and nerve damage as
possible causes for my aches and pains, he suggested that
my problem lied within my muscle structure.
Due to an ergonomically lacking workplace and an inactive
lifestyle, my muscles began to tighten in such
a way that pressure was being exerted on my joints and nerves,
causing for there to be pain and tendonitis. Nonetheless,
with a little chiropracting and a change of lifestyle, I'd
be better in no time.
Once I started going to Dr. Pat, I quickly learned the importance
of fitness, flexibility, and how to maintain a healthier
lifestyle. Dr. Pat recommended a daily stretching
routine and less hours spent in front of the
computer. More than willing, he showed me various ways to
isolate and stretch specific muscle groups that were causing
problems.
Taking his advice seriously, I began
to notice drastic results not long after my first appointment.
My posture had straightened, I became more flexible, and
the aches and pains ceased throughout the rest of
the summer.
At this time, I can honestly say that Dr. Pat's massage
techniques have helped me tremendously. Despite
any myths I've heard, I experienced no painful after-effects
after treatment nor did I have any intolerable pain during treament.
I can now stand as long as I want, lift
heavy objects, dance, drive, and have a restful sleep;
things pain got in the way of.
Dr. Pat is an awesome, friendly, and honest guy who treats
his patients with respect and sensibility.
If you are in doubt about the effects of chiropracting, don't
be! You'll be in safe hands with Eglauf Wellness Center."
